Rowing has become an established and high profile activity at The Grange. The
Club competes at local, Regional and National events using quality racing
boats. Success has been achieved at National level but just as importantly last
season every single member of the Club won an event. (62 Wins in total)
Invariably, comments are made by event organisers regarding the excellent
behaviour, team spirit, helpfulness and boatmanship of Grange crews.
All in all Rowing at the Grange has an extremely positive image that lends itself
to sponsorship opportunities for organisations wishing to be seen at virtually
all rowing locations in Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside with
Regional and National events on occasion.

Rowing of this standard is expensive to maintain and as an Independent School
The Grange cannot access many of the available sources of public sports
funding. The Club is therefore reliant on internal funding assisted by fund
raising from the Parents Support Group. Sponsorship from local organisations
would enable the Club to further improve its capability and performance.

Sponsorship Opportunities
The Club, in conjunction with the Parents Support Group, has developed a
number of Sponsorship packages that we hope will prove attractive to local
companies and organisations.

The Bronze Package
The sponsoring organisation will have their logo prominently displayed on a
single sculling boat or as one of two sponsors on a double or quadruple sculling
boat. In addition, the sponsor will be given recognition in the School magazine.
The sponsor will be able to use the association with the Club in their own
promotional material.
The Bronze package costs £200 for one year (logos can be supplied for a small
additional charge). Subsequent years would cost £100 per year. A five year
agreement is available for £450.

The Silver Package
The sponsoring organisation will have their logo displayed as the sole sponsor
of a double or a quadruple sculling boat. This will allow logos to be placed at
both bow and stern of the boat.
Alternatively, the sponsor could place their logo on the School’s boat trailer.
In addition, the sponsor will be given more prominent recognition in the School
magazine. The sponsor will be able to use the association with the Club in their
own promotional material.
The Silver package costs £350 for one year (logos can be supplied for a small
additional charge). Subsequent years would cost £175 per year. A five year
agreement is available for £800.

The Gold Package
This package is primarily designed for sponsorships of £500 or more in any
one year and requires to be individually designed.Working closely with the
Club it may be possible to access one of the only government-funded grant
schemes available to Independent schools.This is known as SportsMatch.The
scheme matches £ for £ the commercial sponsorship but requires certain
criteria to be met.
Normally,this sponsorship will involve the purchase of new equipment,for
rowing,land based training or safety purposes.The Club has successfully
applied for a SportsMatch award in 2004-05.Placement of logos and other
promotional activity will be the subject of case by case discussion.In addition,
the sponsor will receive substantial recognition in the School magazine.
If a successful SportsMatch award is made recognition is also forthcoming
from this organisation.This year,an awards event was held at the City of
Manchester Stadium.
The sponsor will be able to use the association with the Club and SportsMatch
in their own promotional material.
