In order to compete for the school all pupils must;
1)Be members of British Rowing, for more details visit www.britishrowing.org.uk and follow the membership links
2)Wear The Grange School Rowing Kit when representing the school.
3)Be fully paid up members of the club.
4)Have a sense of humour and be willing to push themselves both physically and mentally!
Core Training Times
J14s - Sat morning, girl's 8:30-10:45 & boy's 10:15-12:30 and Wednesday evening 4-6:15 BST (river) and 4-5:30 GMT (Sports Hall)
J15s - Sat morning 8:20 until 12:30 and Thurs evening 4-6:15 BST (river) and 4-5:30 GMT (Sports Hall)
J16s - Sat morning 8:20 until 12:30 and Tues evening 4-6;15 BST (river) and 4-5:30 GMT (Sports Hall)
6th Form - Sat morning 8:20 until 12:30 and any Tues, Wed or Thurs, same times as above.
In addition all active rowers are expected to train for one half hour lunchtime slot on the rowing machines. Fourteen machines are available in two half hour slots per lunchtime, that is 140 available sessions, so no excuses! We also have an early morning ergo club on a Tuesday and Thursday morning, 8-8:30 for those early birds. J15's and above can use the machines at this time any morning before school so long as you go in pairs, you must not touch any of the weight lifting equipment!
There will be a member of the coaching team at the boathouse from 8:10 to 12:35 on Saturday mornings.
